Night Fever! Tottenham’s Ikea Warehouse to Become a Massive Clubbing Venue from the Printworks Team

A massive new club from some much-loved organisers is set to open in Tottenham’s old Ikea.

Grand news for London’s clubbing community: It’s been announced that the massive warehouse once home to Tottenham’s Ikea will be turned into a 15,000-capacity music venue.

The news is cherry-topped by the fact that the group behind this new venture is Broadwick,  the same people that ran Printworks, making the passing of that legendary London club a little easier to bear.

The new spot is to be called Drumsheds and will channel the spirit of Printworks with more blinding sets from top DJs and artists in everything from electronic music to grime. All this is set to begin in September 2023.

Who’s On the Lineup So Far?

IKEA Tottenham

So far lineups have only been released for the Autumn season (that starts in October) but what they’ve got on the cards is getting us pretty excited.

Where to begin? Well, on the 7th October they’re throwing what looks to be a big night of disco with the great Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King at the helm. She’s supported by Kenny Dope, Derrick Carter and Gilles Peterson as well as a lengthy list of DJs and musicians for an event spread across three rooms of the warehouse.

On the 16th December Skepta and Jammer are leading a show the full lineup of which is due to be released at the end of August.

Even a cursory scroll through their events page turns up names like Armand Van Helden, Hot Chip, a Halloween night by Elrow, Jamie Jones and Andy C, Charlotte De Witte and a slew of lineups so long they basically read: ultra late night raving.

What Else to Expect

IKEA Tottenham

Mostly heaps of space. If you’ve been up to that ikea for a plate of meatballs you’ll remember that the warehouse is frankly enormous. Drumsheds will have 608,000 square feet to play with – Broadwick themselves have even described the scope of what they’re planning as ‘unashamedly massive’.

You can also expect a hell of a lightshow. Anyone who went to Printworks will know this well enough. You may also have caught a glimpse of what these guys are all about at Thin Air, the large-scale light show that received a positive reception when it opened earlier this year.

Having been fans of both, we’re getting very hyped for the opening of Drumsheds.
