Grab Your Popcorn… BFI Southbank Is Showing the Top 100 Movies of All Time

Sight and Sound has announced the top 100 films of all time… And BFI Southbank will be showing them all between January and March.

A question that often gets thrown around the London x London office… What is the greatest film of all time?

Well, Sight and Sound, aka the folk behind the most influential once-in-a-decade movie poll, have released their 2022 iteration. And we’ve been royally humbled. Turns out we all have terrible taste in movies.

While we won’t spoil the results for you (though, stick around and we’ll tell you where you can find out if your fave film made the cut), we’ll give you a little taster of what’s to come.

What’s On?

Get Out

Across three months, the BFI will be showing the films ranked from joint 95th to 66th. Some are even being shown on BFI Southbank’s newly reopened IMAX screen.

And we’ll level with you, there are some big hitters amongst them: Get Out, Spirited Away, The Shining, The Red Shoes, and Parasite, as well as plenty of others.

Then, once February rolls around it’s time for the films ranked 63rd down to joint 31st, before March is left with the top 30 films of all time. Grab your popcorn, you’re in for a treat.

Sight and Sound: Practical Information

You can view the results of the poll and book yourself a ticket to a showing here.

Pssst… If you use the promo code GREATEST, you’ll be able to snag yourself 6 tickets to the Sight and Sound Greatest Films of All Time 2022 season at BFI Southbank for just £60.

Though that doesn’t include screenings at the BFI IMAX, we’re afraid.
